Appointments Interview & Med Exam

Biometrics for AOS

Biometrics means the fingers of both your hands are printed, your photograph is taken, and you must give your signature.
Biometrics is usually done at a USCIS Field Office or Action Support Center.

USCIS will inform you of the location, date and time of the appointment with an I-797 Notice of Appointment. You must bring the Appointment Notice with you to the USCIS Office or Centre. Without it you will not be admitted.

Nota Bene. If you immigrate with family members the notices can arrive separately.

For an immigrating child Biometrics is required too. Usually children under 14 will only be photographed. Complete Biometrics are required for children age 14 and older.
